Improving local streets as liveable and dynamic spaces is important in supporting resilient communities and providing a lasting legacy for future generations.

A number of policies and strategies are already in place to improve and activate local streets.

The Local Liveable Streets document builds on these policies and provides high level principles for achieving good design in local streets.
