Sustainable Development Goals
The United Nations (UN) has created the Sustainable Development Goals. These goals set out the changes needed to make a cleaner and greener world. We have put together an overview of what changes we are making within our Region.
What we are doing
- Upgrading water & wastewater treatment facilities.
- Creating smart catchment & stormwater management strategies to improve biodiversity.
- Devising plans to protect areas of high ecological significance.
- Implementing a Green Infrastructure Strategy.
- Using a planning scheme that supports large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Implementing the Sustainable Transport Strategy, Open Space Strategy and Public Transport provision.
What we are working towards
- Aiming to include expected increases of flood and stormwater into our modelling for future planning.
- Developing a climate risk management strategy.
- Looking into a climate responsive design guidelines to inform new home regulations, increasing energy efficiency and resilience to climate change.
- Exploring ways to reduce fuel consumption.

Footage can be supplied to:
- Queensland Police Service
- Toowoomba Regional Council
- Other local/state government agencies
- Solicitors (acting on behalf of a client)
- Individuals (with either a Queensland Police Service charge sheet, a notice to appear or other supporting documentation)

Live footage is kept for 14 days before it is written over due to storage requirements. Footage that is requested and approved for extraction is kept for 7 years in accordance with thePublic Records Act 2002.
