Tammy Mitchell Selected as the Russell Community Impact Award Winner for March 2025
The Russell Community Impact Award Committee is pleased to announce Tammy Mitchell as the distinguished recipient of the March 2025 Russell Community Impact Award. This award recognizes individuals, businesses, or organizations whose exceptional contributions have significantly enriched the fabric of the Russell community.
Tammy's multiple nominations describe her as dedicated, selfless, exceptional, generous, and innovative. Tammy consistently demonstrates these qualities through her involvement in numerous local initiatives and organizations. She serves as a board member of the Dream Theatre, is an active member of Kiwanis, and serves as an active and involved member of her church community at The Chapel of Hope. Tammy also serves as the Local Drop-off Team Leader for Operation Christmas Child.
Tammy's multiple volunteer efforts speak to her dedication to the Russell community and ensuring the sustainability of the organizations she serves. Her nominations describe her as the person everyone knows they can count on to get the job done and that our community is stronger and better because of her. Please join in celebrating Tammy as the March 2025 Community Impact Award winner.
As the winner of the Russell Community Impact Award, Tammy received a $250 donation to the non-profit of her choice. Tammy chose the Dream Theatre Space as the recipient. Mayor Jim Cross and KRSL/KZRS Russell Radio General Manager Mike McKenna presented Tammy with a $250 check for the Dream Theatre at the April 15, 2025, city council meeting.
